The Yorktown Youth Soccer Club (YYSC) was established in 1975.  Our organization is a not-for-profit 501-c3 and relies mostly on volunteerism to run all of our programming.   Programming starts at the age of 3 years old.   This is how and why our club has a solid foundation and has had a successful program since the beginning.   The YYSC focuses on the young person first and the development of the complete player.  At first, we create an atmosphere of FUN to capture the imagination of the young players.  As they age we focus on nurturing the players to make sure they become physically, technically, and tactically sound. Also, mentally resilient.    The YYSC also believes soccer is not just about the practices or games.  We believe that we must teach life lessons along the way. We believe in supporting the local  community, teamwork, commitment, respect, loyalty and more.   We have three different levels of play in our club; in-house recreational program( ages 3-8), limited distance travel program (ages 8-15) and we have our travel program (YORKTOWN FC) (ages7-19).  We have teams playing in 5 different leagues at varying levels including multiple teams playing in the premier divisions.   The Yorktown SC hosts one of the largest Labor Day Tournaments in the State of New York.  This year will be the 49th  tournament year.  This tournament serves as a large fundraiser for our club. It provides valuable scholarships and allows the club to run varying programs throughout the year at a cheaper cost to the players and their families.   The YYSC also runs Summer Camps and Friday Night Soccer programs in the summers. During the winter months the Yorktown FC/YYSC provides clinics, one on one training, goalie classes, leagues and team training in its indoor home; Solaris Sports LLC.   The YYSC/Yorktown FC takes pride in offering our programs to the residents of Yorktown and the surrounding area.
