Kevin Reiman, who used to play for Yorktown Spirit, has made the MLS Real Salt Lake team. He is now training in Argentina and then will be back to play for Real Salt Lake.

Ryan Cordeiro who also used to play for the Yorktown Spirit just got a roster spot on DC United.

Another player, Laurent Manuel, who used to be on Yorktown Spirit was just waived by the Red Bulls.

The East Hudson Womens Soccer League spring registration is now open!

We are an 18 and Over womens soccer league.

We offer an outdoor 11v 11 recreational soccer league, 7v7 semi-competitive for beginners, and open league practices run by our league coaches.

This summer we will be offering our new U23 Division for young girls aging out of the youth clubs and college players coming home.

Any age, any skill level, come on out and check us out, we have something for everyone!

We are collecting used soccer cleats, balls or shin guards on behalf of Pedals for Progress who will be sending them over to Nicaragua. You can either leave them in the box outside the soccer office or drop it off on May 17 (Community Day) at Mildred Strang Middle School between 12-5.

We have an author in the Yorktown Youth Soccer Club! Her name is Lynnea Bolin. Lynnea plays on the U11 Bandits and is 10 years old. Lynnea was written up in the Journal News on December 12 regarding her story that was published in the book entitled A Chicken  Soup for the Soul - Christmas.

CLUB NEWS

Congratulations to Amanda Bauza who has been accepted on the GU14 East Hudson Academy team.

The BU12 Gladiators just advanced to the third round of the NY State Cup with a win over Niskayuna United 3-1. Keep it going!

The Strikers (BU13) and the Devils (BU14) both just won their first round of games for the State Cup. Their next round of games will be in a couple of weeks.

The Gladiators can add another win to their record. They just took 2nd place in the Bruce Oremus Memorial Big Blue Shootout tournament.

The Revolution girls just took 1st Place at the Iona Spring Fever tournament - it must have been cold out there!

Yorktown Strikers (BU13) placed 2nd in their tournament up in Milton, NY.

Yorktown Rockets (BU11) just took 2nd place in the Ramapo tournament.

Congrats goes out to Ice GU13 who placed 3rd out of 9 teams in the Iona College Spring Fever tournament. They [played in snow and ice. How interesting!

Lightning (GU9) has gone two for two this winter. They have won first place in both the Jim Slater  and the Christopher Tompkins tournaments.

The BU14 Devils just took First Place in the Iona College Spring Fever tournament on March 2nd.

The Revolution (GU12) just took 1st place in the Make-A-Wish foundation tournament. You go girls!

One of our coaches, Helmut Gspurning, just got a job coaching the 93' boys East Hudson Academy team.

Sonja Gspurning is playing with the 92' girls on the East Hudson Academy team.

Stefanie Frolo, Heidi Gspurning and Emily Viret have been accepted on the East Hudson Academy team.

GU11 Revolution came in 1st place at the Jim Slater Memorial Tournament.

Max Bluestone and Andrew Gorodess have been accepted onto the East Hudson Academy team (1993)

Devon Williams will be joining the 1994 East Hudson Academy team.

Yorktown Ice (GU13) took 2nd place in the Ossining Halloween Classic. They went 3 wins an 1 loss and lost in the championship game.

Congratulations to the Gladiators (BU12)who won 2nd Place in the March of Dimes Sweet Shot Tournament.

The Slammers did it again by winning 1st Place in the Teaneck tournament for BU10.

A congratulations goes out to the Devils (BU14) for placing second in the Teaneck tournament.
